01

The challenge

What needed to change.

A complex pilot plant had to be dismantled, moved internationally and returned to productive use while maintaining process integrity and project control throughout.

02

Adbro’s approach

How the solution was engineered.

Adbro managed the work as one coordinated programme, covering disconnection, documentation, transport, rebuild, controls and commissioning.

03

The outcome

What the project delivered.

The pilot facility was successfully recommissioned with a clearer, more maintainable engineering baseline for future work.

Technical delivery

Inside the engineered solution.

The detail below shows how the main equipment, software and interfaces were brought together—not just what the project achieved.

System scope

  • Origin- and destination-site surveys
  • Machine inventory and condition audit
  • PLC and control-system backups
  • Electrical and mechanical disconnection
  • Transport preparation and logistics coordination
  • Reinstallation, reconnection and recommissioning
  • Manual translation and electrical-drawing updates
  • Safety improvements to retained machinery
01

Asset-by-asset planning

Each machine was audited before removal so isolations, interfaces, software, documentation, access requirements and lifting or transport needs could be planned rather than discovered during the move.

02

Controlled disconnection and transport

Controls were backed up, services were identified, equipment was disconnected and protected, and transport loading was coordinated with the agreed route and installation sequence.

03

Rebuild and technical baseline

At the destination, equipment was checked for transit damage, reconnected and commissioned. Electrical drawings were amended and operating information was translated from Italian into Dutch.

04

Safety and production readiness

Existing equipment was reviewed during reinstatement, with guarding and safety improvements incorporated where required before final trials with the plant engineering team.

Verification & handover

Commissioning included mechanical and electrical checks, control-system restoration, individual machine trials, safety checks and joint production proving before sign-off. The move was completed within the agreed programme without reported equipment damage.
